25 Dying Professions You Should Avoid

John Pugliano, author of “The Robots are Coming: A Human’s Survival Guide to Profiting in the Age of Automation,” sees plenty of white collar jobs that will be threatened by automation.

“Bottom line, any routine job that can easily be defined by a mathematical or logic equation will be at risk,” Pugliano said. “Opportunity will be [there] for those that can create new produces/services or solve/fix unexpected problems.”

The big picture: Not everyone believes AI will replace people or destroy jobs. Many believe AI will take over menial boring tasks while humans will spend more time with higher level tasks. And plumbers and other trades will always have work.

With the New Tax Law Comes New Tax Forms

Before the tax law overhaul last year the Trump administration and Republican Congress touted a new "postcard sized" income tax return form designed to simplify tax filing.

The actual size of the form is bigger than a postcard but smaller than previous years. While the form itself is shorter, it does require the taxpayer to use other schedules, or forms the IRS requires filers to prepare, along with the tax return if they have certain types of income or deductions.

Despite the hype the new form may not make it simpler to file your taxes.

Why it matters: Understanding the changes the new tax law has brought to the filing process before you file can eliminate confusion and unwanted surprises in April.

Here's a sneak peek at the new forms to give you an idea of what's in store in 2019 when you file your tax returns. We highly recommend it. It is very informative!
